YUFE Faculty Team Wins National Award for Digital Education Innovation

Recently, the "Innovating, Leading, Empowering: The First Digital Education Demonstration Case Collection Activity," organized by the China Education Technology Association and hosted by Xinhua Net, successfully concluded. The case "Integrated Innovation, Intelligence-Driven Future: Exploring Personalized Teaching of the 'Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics' Course Driven by AI Large Models," submitted by the faculty team from the School of Statistics and Mathematics at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE), consisting of Wang Haiyan (team leader), Wang Lin, Chen Fei, Pang Chunping, and Zhao Jianhua, stood out from numerous entries and won the Excellent Case Award.

This case, supported by the teaching guidance of the university's Office of Academic Affairs, the strong academic resources of the School of Statistics and Mathematics, and the technical support of the Yunnan Provincial Key Laboratory of Service Computing, successfully integrated AI large model technology into the teaching practice of the "Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics" course. This provided students with a more efficient and precise learning experience, and accumulated valuable experience for the university's digital transformation in education.

The activity attracted active participation from over 1,000 institutions across 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) nationwide. After rigorous evaluation, 107 benchmark cases, 181 excellent cases, and 311 featured cases were finally selected. The selected cases fully demonstrated the wide application and remarkable effectiveness of digital and artificial intelligence technologies in China's education and teaching.

The Center for Teaching Quality Monitoring and Evaluation is always committed to improving the teaching ability and innovation level of teachers.
