Adding the already announced 1 western region project in education from the National Social Science Fund, YUFE's total proposed projects for 2024 reaches 18, ranking third in the province. The average proposed approval rate exceeds 22%, with both the number of proposed projects and the approval rate reaching the best historical performance of YUFE.

In terms of disciplinary distribution, projects from 8 disciplines in YUFE are proposed for approval, including 4 in Applied Economics, 4 in Theoretical Economics, 3 in Regional and Country Studies and International Issues Research, 2 in Ethnology, 2 in Sociology, 1 in Demographics, 1 in Sports Science, and 1 in Education, showing a multi-disciplinary approval feature. In terms of departmental distribution, the School of Economics has 4 projects, the School of Public Finance and Management and the School of Law and Political Science have 3 each, the School of Finance has 2, while the Business School, International Business School, School of Statistics and Mathematics, Center for Advanced Study of Public Policy, School of Communication and Design Art, and General Office each have 1 project. Notably, Theoretical Economics and Applied Economics have a total of 8 proposed projects, the best performance in the university's history; and the Sports Science project is the first approved project in this field for YUFE.

Previously, the university held a mobilization meeting for the "Three Major Funds" project applications. The Division of Science & Technology Administration worked closely with various schools and departments, planning ahead, implementing refined management and precise services, coordinating project application management, providing personalized application consultations, creating a strong research atmosphere, and stimulating teachers' research motivation. Multiple rounds of "National Social Science Fund Project Argumentation Meetings" were held, inviting many internal and external experts to provide "one-on-one" guidance on project applications. The application teams worked closely together, repeatedly arguing and revising the applications in terms of project topics, research methods, research content, and innovations. With the joint efforts of all teachers across the university, the number of proposed projects and the approval rate have once again reached new historical highs.
